See Protect coverage and enable Protect

Open Protect when you want to know which connected projects already have RunSafe Protect, which memory-safety findings Protect could mitigate, or when you are ready to enable Protect for a GitHub or GitLab project.

Compare projects with and without Protect

  1. Open Protect in the organization sidebar.
  2. Use the summary for:
    • Total projects with and without Protect.
    • Vulnerabilities that Protect mitigates or could mitigate.
    • Average and highest memory-safety coverage scores when score data is available.
  3. Use the Without Protect and With Protect tables to inspect individual projects.

These organization-level metrics use the latest complete scan on each connected project's default branch. Older scans, non-default branches, and manually uploaded SBOMs are excluded.

  • Without Protect vulnerability counts are memory-safety CWE findings that Protect could mitigate if enabled.
  • With Protect vulnerability counts are findings marked as mitigated by Protect.

Enable Protect for a project

Organization admins can enable Protect for eligible GitHub and GitLab projects from the Without Protect table.

Generic projects do not support Protect setup. For toolchain steps after you enable Protect, see Protect.
